Eddie Duh Kid is Eddie Meyer, a multi-instrumentalist and session musician based out of the Philadelphia area. Known first and foremost as a talented sax player, he has played with many of the rock n roll, blues, funk, and jam bands in the region, making a name for himself as a highly sought after sideman. His stage name is derived from years of being the youngest musician in bands of older, seasoned vets.
He has led a few of his own projects, including rock duo Saint Phoenix, jam band Quarrydog, and Americana duo Rolling Doubles.
Despite deep roots in the blues, no genre truly defines the range of Eddie's artistic interests. He has done studio work for bands in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware tristate area, and is a founder of the Jamz Music and Arts Festival in Elverson, PA, a summer fest in the the Philly suburbs. He has played at state fairs, churches, festivals, parking lots, small clubs, big venues, parks, and college basements, among many other places.
Ultimately, Eddie is determined to have his musical fingerprints on everything, from the stage to the studio, and anything in between. In 2018, he released four singles in conjunction with Mechanizer Studios. Eddie has big plans for 2019, including recording more solo material, working on new full band projects, and touring.
